Master Saykosy Competes
On October 22, 2011, Master Saykosy will step back into the cage to practice what he teaches. Master Saykosy always stays involved as a teacher and a practitioner of the marital arts and his upcoming match will allow him to showcase his talents and compete against another skilled practitioner. David Vu, one of Master Saykosy’s students, will also be fighting and making his debut in the cage.
At age 37, Master Saykosy is conditioned to compete with the younger competitors of today’s MMA world. MMA is the fastest growing martial arts style practiced all over the world. Many martial art schools may teach different styles, but if you do not practice combining these styles together, you will not be well-rounded enough to compete or defend yourself. Most people that start martial arts take it for self defense and do not realize that some schools do not teach practical self defense even though they say they do. Some teachers may not even have experience in a real competition or have had to defend themselves in real life.
MMA and cage fighting is the closest thing to real fighting. Of course, its seems violent in the eyes of non martial artists or someone that has never been in a fight.
